In-depth assessment and guidance

When you need a second opinion – in-depth assessment and guidance

Many people living with mental illness have received multiple diagnoses over the years – often without sufficient explanation, clear information or a coherent assessment. It is not uncommon for diagnoses to be made on inadequate grounds, which can create uncertainty, frustration and a feeling of not being truly understood.

At Skepsis reception it is possible to receive an in-depth and independent assessment in the form of a private counselling service. The service is aimed at those who already have one or more psychiatric diagnoses, but who wish to second opinion – a new look at your situation with the aim of creating clarity, overview and better understanding.

The assessment is done through a personal interview, a careful review of your psychiatric history and a careful reading of previous medical records. In some cases, testing or psychological evaluation of aptitude or personality-related factors may also be necessary, depending on your specific needs.

The purpose is to identify patterns, deepen understanding and – if relevant – provide new perspectives that can lead to better treatment, increased self-awareness and greater security in your care situation.
