Founder
Gerasimos Maroulis
Specialist Doctor in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry
My name is Gerasimos Maroulis and already during my student years I realized my deep commitment to mental health and rehabilitation. In 2017, I became a specialist in adult psychiatry and in 2023 in forensic psychiatry.
My clinical experience includes both psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care, which has given me broad knowledge in diagnostics, medical treatment, and talk therapy. I have studied at Högskolan Evidens in Gothenburg, where I obtained both my step 1 competence in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and my licensing-qualifying education as a psychotherapist.
For many years, I have worked clinically and gained valuable experience meeting people seeking help for mental health issues. Today, I focus mainly on forensic psychiatric evaluations, but I have long had a strong desire to apply my knowledge to offer a private outpatient clinic where I can provide both medical and psychotherapeutic help.
I believe in respectful, warm, and engaged treatment where every patient receives continuity and the time to be seen and heard.

Our Philosophy
Why Skepsis?
The name Skepsis comes from the Greek word σκέψις (sképsis), which means "examination, observation, investigation" – but also a thought or reflection.
In psychiatry and psychotherapy, it's about a dialogue, a dialectical approach where we explore the individual's thoughts, behavior, and concerns with a respectful, warm, and safe attitude. We dare to question and challenge basic assumptions, values, and learned strategies – not to criticize, but to create space for reflection and real change.
The goal is always to strengthen your well-being and help you find ways forward that work for you specifically.
